The Association of Students of Social Work is set to embark on a 2 day educational and fun Trip to Cape Coast and Western Region. After further consultations the Association has agreed on the following the terms. Price for the Trip :- 550gh per Student. This shall include Accommodation, Meals, Transportation and some other fun activities that will be organized. Break down Accommodation: 70gh Transport: 300 Meals: 100 ( lunch and Super inclusive) Nzulezu: 45 (Booking, Boat riding & Donations inclusive) Kakum: 25gh Castles (Cape CoastCastle& Elmina Castle): 10gh Locations : - Nzulezu, Kakum National Park, Cape Coast Castle and Elmina Castle. WORLD SOCIAL WORK DAY CELEBRATION World Social Work Day is observed every year on the third Tuesday in March. The day recognizes the hard work and diligence of social workers. On this day, a global organization of social workers advocates for social justice, human rights, and social development while promoting the best practices in social work. The world social work day which falls on Tuesday, 21st March, 2023 will be celebrated around the theme, RESPECTING DIVERSITY THROUGH JOINT SOCIAL ACTION. “The theme recognises that change happens locally through our diverse leaderful communities. It also provides an opportunity to acknowledge how communities can make powerful actions that lead to inclusive social transformation” (IFSW, 2023).
